weekend in Stockton, CA

On the drive to Stockton. Sacramento

Welcome to Stockton! My home.

Alexander Les Jacobson. Sweet little boy. 6 days old.

The kids bounced in this thing for a day and a half straight! They had a BLAST!!

Auntie Samantha.

I love this picture.

The proud parents: Cindy and Dave.
My second family: Heidi, Chuck, Cindy, Samantha and Alex.
He's a little angel.

Awesome cake!
Mama and baby.
Samantha and her daughter, Brianna.
Lexi loves Sam.
The adults even had fun bouncing!
Sweet little guy.

Driving home. These kids are the best road trippers, they slept 4-5 hours out of the 9 hour drive. Lake Shasta. Gorgeous.

Kyler looks grumpy here.

Now he's doing fishy lips.

And his smart alec smile.

FINALLY: a normal smile! See how long it takes??
Mt. Shasta.

I am so glad we were able to go meet the new little guy and see some amazing friends. I wish our trip was longer, as always. I can't wait to see them again!

our week

17 weeks (excuse the poor camera phone quality):
A beautiful rainbow in view of our front door:
Saturday, we headed to Clear Lake for a day spent boating. I have never seen such a beautiful lake in my entire life. It's ridiculously clear.

Not sure what kind of face Lexi is making here, ha ha...

All smiles...

Satisfaction...
We had a hitch hiker on the boat, this butterfly hopped from person to person for about 15 minutes. The lake was full of them.

The kids caught tons of rainbows. One of Kyler's:

Can't recall if this was Kyler's or Lexi's:
I just loved this tree. This portion of the lake has volcanic rock covering it. We can't wait to camp here.
Lexi's:
Another for Kyler (I just love how happy Jared looks):

New blooms in our garden:And the roses are blooming, the lady bugs worked wonders. No more aphids to speak of!
Today Jared went fishing, so the kids and I walked across the street to the park. Kyler beat me at HORSE.

Lexi takes her baby everywhere. She says "I'm a busy little mama."

Ha ha, Lexi!

beautiful May

Kyler is THE man...He earned student of the month in March. Uncle Joey told him "more like student of the year." He was so proud of himself, as we are of him.
Daddy and Lexi cuddling. She loves her dad so much!

The kids cutting their "dirt babies" hair.

Lexi put hers in a pony tail with a bow from aunt Marissa.
Kyler gave his a mohawk.

A day spent on the lake:
Green Peter Reservoir

Our garden in bloom:

The dogwood tree is my favorite.

The night before mother's day, Lexi lost her first tooth. She came running in so excited, then began to cry as shock set in. She asked me "will I get a new tooth? Can I talk without this tooth?" ha ha
The tooth fairy came, $4! She was so happy.
Mother's day. I awoke to coffee and oatmeal in bed. The kids and Jared were quick to give me my gifts: 2 much needed maternity shirts and 2 metal wall art hangings that I have been wanting for a year.
This one is in the dining room:
This one is in our room:
Lexi goes on a "pose kick" from time to time, today I caught it on film. She is so funny.

Happy mother's day! I hope all of the moms had a wonderful day. Great moms make the world is a better place.

"looks like a girl!"

The fetal position: baby is looking down and sucking her thumb.
Profile picture: baby's head is on the left (our left), hand on the chest and belly on the right. Looks like Lexi's nose.

Today I went to a local center who gives ultrasounds for training purposes. The ladies there are SO wonderful and I cannot begin to explain how much I appreciate them and the services they provide for moms to be and moms.

They gave me an ultrasound...baby looks very healthy, heart rate of 154, thumb sucker, dancing in utero, and measuring a little big (about a week ahead). She got a "toilet shot" and said "Though legally I cannot tell you if it's a boy or a girl, I can tell you I don't see any boy parts and it's a clear shot." She froze the image and let me look and to me (the untrained eye) it looks like a girl as well. However, I will hold off on all pink shopping until my 20 week appointment coming soon. I am SO relieved to see the baby is happy and healthy.
