Fun with visitors

A day spent in the boat on the river...

Kyler caught a large native rainbow trout.

On Saturday morning, The Rodriguez family (Richard, Samantha, Brianna and Julian) arrived for a visit. We went to a local pool for Kyler's boyscout awards ceremony. We had a great time.

Sunday we spent the day on the river.
The guys fishing.
Beautiful.
Sparkler time!

3 miles of beautiful hiking trails and 3 waterfalls.
I love the kids pose in this one, ha ha!

The Salem garden, absolutely gorgeous.

Hornets nest on a bird house.

Weaved branches form a pathway.

Today we hit up the Portland Zoo.

Love this sign...
Checking out the black bear.

The petting zoo.
Lexi was howling at the wolves, ha ha.

Big, beautiful polar bear.
Wow, so disappointing.
Sizing up the bears.
Mandrill. He was amazing. He was absolutely in love with his trainer, so if she got up, he did. If you nodded your head to her, he took it as a threat and would get irritated. A man touched her and the mandrill freaked out. It was amazing.
Ocelet.

We have had an amazing time with our company. I'm so glad they have been able to come out and visit. We're not at all looking forward to their departure on Monday. Hopefully our next visit won't be too far away.
