mothers day weekend

Saturday, May 7 was Lebanon's annual fire station open house:

Checking out an old school fire truck.
They were able to explore an ambulance and listen to the EMT speak.

Waiting in line for a fire truck ride.

Inside the fire truck. Lexi was on my lap and the batteries were dying, so the camera wouldn't focus.

Mother's day:

Pat asked us to meet them in Klamath Falls, about 4 hours south of us. So we did. It was a great short trip.

Hanging out in our room.

As we spent most of mother's day driving and packing, we didn't get a mother's day photo of the kids and I. So we did the next day.

Pat and Vaughn took us to a nearby wildlife refuge. Here is an eagle's nest with babies inside and the parents next to it. They don't allow anyone to get any closer than this, but through the binoculars you can see them wonderfully. Amazing!

Lexi getting a closer look.

Checking out a great horned owl nest. The baby is adorable--so fluffy!

LOL I couldn't pass up this chance!!

Pat, Ari and I.

The dad great horned owl.

One of the bald eagles we saw. In total, not counting the babies, we saw at least 7.

Coyote.

Male mule deer

On the drive home. The kids, baby and dog did so wonderfully. Which gives me hope for our upcoming 12 hour drive next month.

Arilyn had a few firsts this week: her first word (other than mama and dada) was dog! Which, funny enough, was Lexi's first word. She had been trying to say it for about a month now and finally got it.

She got her first tooth! #2 is close.

She also waved bye bye to daddy! Growing up so fast.

I am dealing with a horrid sinus infection for over a week now, yuck!

One more month of school for the kids and summer break! Yay can't wait.

Hope all of the moms had a great mothers day!
